KIT AND CABOODLE CHECK IN 2.2021.jpg

“Kit & Caboodle are a wonderful addition to our home and are fitting in quite nicely. They are very curious and are full of energy. It is adorable how they play with each other all the time and how Caboodle will sneak attack Kit and tackle him and then run off and play. Here is a photo of them playing together in the cat tree we would like to share.”

Sweetness

NOW 'MIO'

FEBRUARY 2021 - CHECK IN

“Sweetness is doing great! We recently changed her name to “Mio.” In Vietnamese, cat is “Meo” and my parents have been calling her cat upon her arrival. I guess she just got used to the name, so we changed it to Mio because it was close to what we have been calling her. It took her a couple of days to adjust to her environment, but now she loves running around and exploring throughout the house. She is extremely friendly and outgoing.

I will send some photos soon!”  Best Regards, Thuy

Tux

NOW 'FITZ THE FELINE'

FEBRUARY 2021 - CHECK IN

“From my perspective things are indeed going well. The only real hiccup has been my ill-considered decision to change his name. Tux is an ideal name for him, and I have forgotten exactly why I didn't like it initially..  Had I to do it (the name change) again, I wouldn't.  But I guess I would cause even more confusion if I decided to revert to his original name. I don't believe he would care so I will stick with Fitz-the-feline for now.”

“He is the most talkative cat I have encountered but that's good because I was looking for a conversationalist. He certainly is a lap cat, more so than any Cat I had been responsible for in the past. He has also taken over responsibility for my bed. In fact, about 1 o'clock this morning I tried to engage him to convince him to move so I could get back in bed. However, he pretended to be asleep so that it took me a while to convince him to let me have enough space that I could stretch out. That's about all I have to report. for now.” - Gene

JANUARY 2021 - CHECK IN

“Thank you for your email. I'm happy to say that Dawn (fka Annie) and Dusk (fka Troy) are both doing great. They are showing us a lot of love, and of course we're happily reciprocating! They do get a lot of exercise chasing each other around and grappling--lovingly of course. It's fascinating  watching them groom each other.  We'll keep you advised.”

ALPA

JANUARY 2021 - CHECK IN

“Thank you for reaching out to see how Alpa is doing! We decided to keep her name Alpa after finding out it means "little", which fits her well since she is such a petite cute little cat. Another reason for keeping the name was our young son could say it so well and enjoyed calling her by it right away. Alpa has been a joy to welcome into our home and family. She is so incredibly playful and adorable, and always wants to be around us. She is gentle and patient with our young son and likes to be around him watching his antics. And he absolutely adores her and will follow her around like a puppy dog sometimes eager to see what she does next."

ALPA CHK IN 1.2021

"Alpa's relationship with Taco (our older cat) is still a work in progress, but we knew it would likely take him more time to adjust to a new cat in the house. Overall, I believe things are headed in a good direction though. She just really wants to be friends and play with him, but she backs off when he makes it clear he's not ready for that. I'm hopeful Taco will warm up to her more as he gets used to her being around."

ALPA CHECK IN 1.2021

Thank you and everyone at PAW for helping us welcome this sweetheart into our home. She has brought us so much joy in the short time she has been with us, and we are looking forward to many, many, wonderful years with her ❤️ I would love to send over more photos and updates in the future too!”

Gordon is doing great, I’ve decided to keep the name, he goes by Gordy for short and actually recognizes and responds to his name. has been an absolute angel, he loves getting attention and pets. He seems very well acclimated into his new environment, I think in the future when I have a bigger space it would be good for him to have a buddy to play with. he’s just the absolute cutest and has added such a joy to my life! Thanks to PAW for making it all happen. Rochelle, Gordy’s foster mom, has also been a great resource and a joy to work with in this process.” – Ivy

"Salem is doing awesome in his new home! He kept his name which I thought was very fitting with mine! "

"Salem is the sweetest little boy and he has brought so much joy, life, and energy into our house. He is a true lap cat and loves cuddling with his new mom and sister pastry (when she lets him). He also loves to play with toys (and literally everything else), beg for food, and climb up to the very top of the cat tree for naps. I am a music teacher working from home and Salem loves to be on camera and sit in my lap when I teach. The kids and other teachers love him! Here are some pictures of Salem's adventures in his new home!"

OCTOBER 2020 CHECK INS

“Thank you for checking in on Vera - now known as "Ruby Danger."

Ruby is a gem and has brought so much joy and busy-ness into our apartment in the last month. I wanted a confident, playful kitten to be a companion for my five-year-old sensitive soul Franklin. Ruby is the perfect addition to our family - and her profile on Petfinder made me pretty sure she would be. The photos captured her personality and her foster's description of her big personality was so accurate. Just what I was looking for. Then when she moved over to Rochelle's care, Rochelle listened to what I had to say and was able to affirm that Ruby was the right kitten. The adoption process was wonderfully smooth - even in COVID times. Ruby's hobbies are racing around with her mouse, diving through tunnels, leaping out of boxes, purring, walking through plants, eating everyone's food and sleeping with her cute belly out. If something is happening she wants to be part of it - if she wasn't the one to start it in the first place. She is a wonderful, loving, bold girl! And she is doing wonders for Franklin, who surrendered to her presence early on and is now very interested in what she is up to. I have high hopes that they will be great friends, especially when I go back to work full time someday. It is clear that Ruby has been so well socialized and cared for since an early age. I am so grateful. I've always had rescued kittens as pets and that early socialization and care is so critical. Thank you for getting my sweet girl off to such a great start! All the best, Rebecca”

“Hi! We love Neptune and Cosmo and are happy with them.  They are keeping their names, as those are names we would have chosen ourselves.  They are slowly coming around.  The trickiest part so far has been getting Cosmo to eat his own food when medicine is mixed in. If just put out, Neptune attempts to get a double dose...  We figured out good schedule so far and look forward to seeing them be more comfortable as the weeks go by. Thank you so much!  We are very excited about our new family additions.” -Emily

SUNNY NOW SKEETER III

JUNE 2020 1 WEEK

“Natalie, we have been very happy with how Sunny has adapted to our home. Did you know that he can jump over furniture? He has learned enough about the layout of our two-bedroom condo to be able to plot out his “race track” around the house. During one of those runs is where he just took off through the air over a recliner and land gracefully on the other side. He said goodnight last night with a very tiny meow directed at us. We have fallen in love with him. Thank you.”  - Jack and Libby

APRIL 2020

“Hi! Jimmy (we’re keeping that name, it really is precious) has been doing SO well! The first day we brought him home, I stayed in the bedroom all afternoon and night to keep him company and he warmed right up to me. He laid next to me and on top of my chest and purred and got petted and explored. It took him a few days to warm up to my partner, Taylor, but every day he seems to get more comfortable.

We love Jimmy so much already, and we’re so happy that his introduction to our little family has gone so well during this first week. I’ll attach some first week pictures to this email!
