“Charlotte has graduated from kitty school, and she now goes by Dr. Charlotte "Charlie" T. Mouse. Her humans chose the surname Mouse because of how quiet she is at times, as well as her penchant for tucking herself into small spaces. Photographic evidence is attached. Charlie wasn't enthusiastic about mealtime the first few days, but now that anxiety is replaced with a healthy appetite. She chose a chirping grasshopper toy as her one-true-and-only love, much to the amusement and consternation of her human roommates. Charlie is still very timid and hesitant to explore the entire house, sticking mostly to the rooms and the hallway upstairs, but each day she wanders a little further. And when a couple workmen were making very loud noises next door for two days straight, she slept through the whole ordeal like it was nothing. Charlie's humans are doing their best to show their love and affection while giving her space to move at her own pace. That said, Charlie is A BIG fan of pets and scratches, so her humans think she's well on her way to becoming a very friendly kitty or full-fledged lap cat.
Signed, Dr. Mouse's humans”
“We are more than happy to give you an update on Star (still Star - we decided to keep the name!) We were fully prepared when we brought her home that she may hide in her carrier and be shy and need some space and some quiet time (since that’s normally what cats do when you bring them home for the first time)— well immediately Star showed us that she was not a conventional kitten. As soon as we opened the carrier door, she immediately walked out and came right up to us wanting to be pet. Then she ran all over the room and tried out every single toy we had laid out for her - pouncing and jumping, meowing, rolling around then coming to us every few minutes to be held or pet - basically an adorable little firecracker of joy from the very first night.”

“Star is SUPER affectionate and really craves attention - which I’m happy to provide since I’m still telecommuting due to the pandemic. She spends the entire day at my side in my home office.”
“When she’s ready for a nap, her favorite spot to curl up is right on my lap. Every morning she runs into the bedroom with a toy in her mouth and jumps up on the bed to place it between my husband and & then waits for us to wake up. It’s usually catnip mice but there was 3 days in a row this week where she went with different colored crinkly balls. Today I discovered that she will actually play fetch - I threw a toy and she ran after it, brought it back to me, and dropped it at my feet. Just to be sure I repeated the procedure, and she retrieved it and brought it back every time. LOL!!”
“In summary she has absolutely changed our lives. After we lost our 18-year-old cat in October, we didn’t think we could ever get so attached to another cat again - but we are well on our way to a very long and loving relationship with Star. We’re completely in love with her purrs, her snuggles, her kisses, and her antics - she definitely makes us laugh with her high energy and excitement for life.
I’m attaching some pictures - it’s hard to pick just a few because I have almost 100 photos and easily a dozen videos!! Thank you so much for checking in! We LOVE STAR! “ - Michelle and Robert Brink

“Vito is now ‘Cubby’. After successfully fostering and placing 27 cats for PAW, we caved to the charms of our little “Cubby Bear” and adopted him! During Cubby’s stay as a foster with his Mother Juno and siblings, Vera, Vada & Salem, I was undergoing the toughest phase of my Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer."
"Cubby quickly proved himself a willing, snuggly, recovery buddy. He is a permanent member of our family now. We adore is mischievous kitten antics and love his affectionate personality.” - Natalie

“She has been such a sweetheart! She has warmed up pretty fast! She sleeps in bed with me every night, lays by my feet while I’m working and lounges on the couch with me while watching tv! I show her off a lot at work and send pics of her to all of my coworkers, everyone thinks she is beautiful! My family and friends adore her as well she is going to be super spoiled” - Stephine
Jade is doing very well with us. We absolutely love her. When she came, she was very thin and recovering from her surgery, but now she has gained some weight and is good and healthy. She loves to play and loves to be cuddled, and we are so happy to have her in our home ❤️

"Binx (kept the name!) is doing super well and is my new best friend!!! She has already gained over a pound since moving here and is right on track in terms of health and all vaccines! She is cuddly but extremely playful - we play for sometimes up to 4 hours a day! "
"She loves going on walks in her cat backpack and snuggling up on her window bed and watching the cars go by! I love her so much!" -Best, Jordan
“Fatima (Blue Belle) and Shanti (Misty) are indeed settling in! We all have play time each day, and of course, they can NOT get enough of playing with one another. They both take their morning watch duty VERY seriously, and there’s not one bird or squirrel who hasn’t fallen victim to their stern chatter. I am enjoying them, and from the way they lounge in my king size bed, I’d venture to say, they are enjoying me as well. We have become family.” Namaste, Kem’elaine

“Hi Natalie, Onyx and I are doing great! I changed his name to Winslow but kept Onyx as his middle name. He's growing so fast--he was only 2 pounds when I adopted him and now, he's around 5.5 pounds and most of his adult teeth have come in. He's still super playful -- his favorite game is playing hide and seek (he's gotten so good at it he's scared me half to death on so many occasions when he jumps out at me). Attached are some recent pictures of him. He genuinely seems happy and is living his best life here. I am so glad to have him in my life, we're a great fit for each other and he brings me so much joy. Thank you so much to everyone at PAW for helping us find each other, and please never hesitate to contact me anytime you want updates about him.” Warm regards, Kellen
Onyx (NOW WINSLOW)
Thanks for checking, he’s doing great! I decided to switch it up and started to call him Jefe, because he’s the little boss of my house. He’s so fun to have around. He’s so curious, loves to slither his way into small spaces, and loves to play. I actually just purchased a leash and harness to see if I can bring him outside. Wish me luck! Ha.
Here are some pictures. I noticed half my camera roll is pictures of him sleeping ha-ha Thanks again for reaching out!” -Kim
"We are doing great! He is so loved, and his name is now Buddy. He is giving us as much love as we give him!" -Joan
“Thank you for reaching out. Smudge (AKA Sienna; kitten and you) has taken over our lives and our hearts. She has a few times a day when she zooms around the house, but the intensity of her runs seems to be decreasing slightly. She loves naps in laps (particularly if there is a blanket on the lap); “talks” during which she tells us about the happenings of the bird and squirrel friends in the yard and just being held. She also loves to fetch - she will bring the mouse or ball back to you and drop it in your hand for you to throw. And she and her sister Dory have had a few sweet moments that give us hope that they will one day be best friends.” -Carole
"We decided to keep the names of the kitties and they are starting to answer to them. They are very active and playful, have already explored nook of our house. They keep popping out from unexpected places and have already caught their first mouse (yack). They really like to cuddle and start purring as soon as they jump on the couch or the bed. They are still very bonded, and at the end of each exhausting adventure they end up sleeping together...
They are growing very fast and will have their second shot this Friday. We are all very happy that they joined our family and I think that they are happy too. Cheers” – Elena

[‘Zeus’ now ‘Leo’] “He continues to grow and is a happy boy. He is very affectionate, eating very well. [‘Athena’ now ‘Cyd’] She is more than a princess an empress really. They are delightful.”
CAMPBELL & CARA
"I can't believe it's only a month. It feels as though we've had Cara and Campbell forever. They are settling down with us nicely and love to help us work from home. They had their 1st visit to the vets - both are doing well and had their rabies shots. They are definitely growing, and their little personalities are showing through. Campbell is definitely laid back and Cara is feisty!”

“Hi Natalie, thank you for asking about Maggie. She is doing great and I still call her Maggie. She is starting to come out a bit more but still shy during the day. It’s a bit comical to see her slink across the floor from one room to another but I hope eventually she will start to feel more at home. She loves to play at night and wants lots of attention, treats and food. She has added a pound or two and her coat is really silky. She is more active and seems happy! Hope you are well and are finding homes for lots of kitties.” Hopefully, we will be through the worst this virus has to offer soon. Thanks again!” – Sandra
“She mostly likes to lounge around (like her mom), but when she's feeling playful, she enjoys the laser pointer, the cat dancer, and this little plush blue mouse. I bought a glorious 5-foot cat tree that seems to be completely invisible to her. My dream is to get her to acknowledge it one of these days. She doesn't understand how much fun she's missing out on! I'm so happy to have Orbit with me -- especially during this time when we've all been stuck in our houses.” -Nicole
“Hi! Connie (or as we now call her, Oreo) is settling in so well. Everyone adores her. She’s so curious and friendly. She’s been a great distraction to everything going on in the world.” -Amy
“Cali is doing great and has totally settled in. She has been a fantastic addition to the household and a welcome distraction from the current situation. We appreciate all of the help that you and the rest of the PAW family provided especially given the fact that we are first time cat owners. We did not realize that cats could be so affectionate and even enjoy daily belly rubs! I think perhaps the best part about Cali is that she is always surprising us with something new every day; either in the manner in which she interacts with certain objects in the household or the random places that she deems worthy of taking naps on...
You had some pretty good timing on your email because we just took our first family portrait yesterday! Cali often likes sitting in this funny way when she is on our laps. Thanks again for all of your help during the fostering/adoption process and feel free to send us an email if you all need another foster home in the future.” – Daniel and Rachael
“Hi Natalie, thanks for checking in on our newest and very much the favorite addition to our home. Jinkx seems very well adjusted and we're excited to have just put an offer in on a townhome nearby, which will give her more room to explore. Nothing is finalized yet, but please let us know if you need our new address once we've settled and everything.
She's such a sweetheart and is becoming quite a lap cat (or mostly a "right next to your lap" cat, but baby-steps).
She seems very comforted by soft blankets, so if we've got a blanket on us she'll come right up! We're exploring different types of foods and have determined some of her favorites tastes and textures. Mostly she just wants to follow us around and try to eat our yogurt and cottage cheese in the morning. She's playful and loves feather toys, but can be the most cuddly little thing! She greets us every morning with chirpy purrs and rolls around on the floor - we're just as happy to greet her back with lots of pets and love! Thank you for checking in and for choosing us to allow Jinkx into our family.” - Kathryn

Cameron & Dakota
“Cam is really starting to come out of her shell - Dakota is always in my face while I’m trying to work!” – Heather
“She is doing great! I finally heard a meow from her a couple of days ago. It was a soft meow, but I will take it. When I heard it I spoke to her and she actually responded with a couple more meows. I have been off work this week (vacation) and happy to spend more time with her. She does wake me up almost every morning around 3:15 just to lay and purr next to me. She and Scoot get along so well. Hope you are doing well and stay healthy.” -Mary Anne
Truett (Ali) has settled in very well. She made herself at home within a few hours of us picking her up. She has a lively personality and has been a fun addition to our other cat, Finn. They get along great and play fight with each other. The transition has gone better than we had hoped. We feel lucky to have Truett in our lives!
Thanks to you, Heather and all of the PAW volunteers who do this work tirelessly. - Lori

Hi, thank you for your message and especially for helping me to find my new Best Friends Forever!
We are happily socially distancing together, sometimes a tail pops up onto the screen when I have a video meeting.
They are wonderful, grew a lot since they’re still under a year old, cuddly and sometimes mischievous.
But most of all sweet and loving.
Best wishes, Joanna
